Winter Professional Conference

The Academy of FortuneTimes Group is pleased to hold our Winter Professional Conference in the heart of Wall Street. Designed for professionals from all major fields of study, this program will accelerate your understanding of the socioeconomic, political and cultural influences shaping Global Business and Financial Markets. Together with business immersion and cultural activities, you will gain insights into and an appreciation of New York City’s business culture.Financial Management Theory and Practice, and Strategic Management tutorials will be conducted by FortuneTimes Group faculty, and will provide a well-rounded Finance and Strategic Management experience. Participants will receive a Certificate of Achievement upon successful tutorial completion. FortuneTimes Group will conduct visits to places and institutions that imbue the City of New York with its rich cultural legacy. Museums, art galleries and famous business land-marks will transport participants through History.Join us in exploring New York City as the world’s capital of Finance and Business. Industry experts will guide through the process of cultural immersion.

We will be together for a period of 3 weeks during the Winter. Tutorial work will consist of 16 hours of accelerated study each week, Monday through Thursday mornings. Afternoons will be devoted to NYC guided tours and cultural immersion activities.

General Information

The conference will take place at the Academy of FortuneTimes Group, and will cover a period of 3 weeks in Winter. The Conference will consist of 16 hours of intensive tutorials per week each, held on Monday through Thursday mornings. The Program Methodology will be focused on 5 interrelated elements: Business Skills, Industry Knowledge, Professional Network, Cultural Experience, and Management Strategy.

The curriculum covers tutorials in the following subjects:

  • Strategic Management in United Stated of America
  • Financial Management: Theory and Practice

The tutorials will be complemented by Business Site Visits. Participants will also participate in social networking with New York participants and professionals, interviews with executives and cultural tours to gain the industry knowledge, networking, cultural understanding, and strategic management insights of New York City and businesses.

Following the successful completion of the New York Program, participants will receive a professional certificate from the Academy of FortuneTimes Group.

Professional Networking with Wall Street Professionals

Professional Networking Events with Wall Street Professionals will be hosted by FortuneTimes Group. Schedule will be announced before the start week.

Admissions Process

FTG Admission Committee will review completed applications thoroughly, and will consider all essential requirements.

For International Applicants who require visa application: students are encouraged to obtain any visa acceptance at least 90 days before the program start date. FTG will assist in applicant’s visa application with a formal confirmation letter to the NYC training program.

International Applicants are required to provide a photocopy of passport.  

For International Applicants: if you do not make the full program payment or do not show up at the program without any notification and explanation, FTG Admission Office will notify the USA Immigration Services and USA Department of Homeland Security.

Admission Requirements

The applicants should have adequate academic, work preparation or professional interest relevant to the intended program of study. The applicants must be at least 21 years old at the time of application unless otherwise stated in the program offering. International applicants are not required to have taken any English test prior to the program start. However, applicants are expected to comprehend the English language. 

Registration Deadlines

We recommend that you register for our Winter Professional Conference Program at least 60 days prior to the starting date. This lead time assures sufficient time for Visa application processing, and program placement. We will consider completed applications received after the specified program deadline as time permits and, if necessary, roll your application over to next registration period.

Notification of Registration Status

Once your completed registration has been received, FTG will send you an Invoice, via email, to cover the cost of the registration process. If any portion of your registration needs further documentation, or clarification, we will also notify you via e-mail.

FTG’s Admissions Office will issue every applicant a Letter of Acceptance. This Letter is intended to accompany the applicant’s Visa application. FTG encourages the Consular Office to contact FTG with any questions or concerns at admissions@fortunetimesgroup.com

FTG will communicate with the United States Embassy in the country of origin of the applicant via email, and by telephone.

Proviso: Please do not interpret any oral statements made in informal correspondence with anyone other than FTG to mean that you have been fully admitted. Only the FTG Admissions Office is authorized to formally notify international applicants in writing of their acceptance to FortuneTimes Group Conference Programs.

If an applicant fails to attend the FTG Winter Professional Conference and does not provide a Visa Rejection letter, FTG will immediately report this problem to United States law enforcement authorities, such as the United States Department of Homeland Security, the United States Department of State, and the United States Embassy of the applicant’s country of residence, and New York State and City Law Enforcement.

Tutorial Details

Corporate Strategy and Strategic Management

The tutorial provides the classic industrial organization model with a resource-based view of the firm to give participants a complete understanding of how today’s businesses use strategic management to establish a sustained competitive advantage. The tutorial examines the latest cutting-edge research and strategic management trends with ideas from some of today’s most prominent scholars. A strong global focus and carefully selected examples from emerging and established American companies place ideas into context within an inviting, practical presentation. Participants are required to work on cases focusing on a variety of topics, organizational settings, and industries. Companies and organizations highlighted include e*Trade, Sirius XM, Boyd’s Black Canyon Coffee, Herman Miller, Krispy Kreme, and many more. Cases exemplify how actual national and international organizations use strategic management processes to outperform rivals, including full financial analyses. Participants will examine a broad range of critical issues confronting managers today. Participants will learn how to effectively apply strategic management tools and techniques to increase performance and their organization’s competitive advantage.

Financial Management: Theory and Practice

This tutorial provides a thorough understanding of the financial theory essential for developing and implementing effective financial strategies in business today. It presents a striking balance between solid financial theory and practical applications. Participants gain a strong working knowledge of today’s financial environment by examining recent financial crises; the global economic crisis; and role of finance in the world, business. Participants will be engaged with presentations, examples, and the use of Excel spreadsheets to make sound financial decisions in business. The tutorial progresses from an early presentation of fundamentals to specific techniques and discussions that guide participants in maximizing the value of a firm. Participants will gain hands-on experience with financial research and analysis using the same tool that professional brokers and Wall Street analysts use daily. Presenting financial statements early within the tutorial provides a clear picture of what financial management is all about. Participants will understand how the effects of financial decisions are shared throughout the firm. Early introductions to risk analysis, discounted cash flow techniques, valuation procedures, and EVA/MVA allows the participants to use and reinforce these key concepts throughout the Tutorial.

Classes will be held Mondays through Thursdays mornings for 3 consecutive weeks.

Payment Policy

Student’s enrollment and space in the program is confirmed only after payment has been received. Payment is due upon receipt of the invoice from FTG. Payment can be made by credit card, Alipay, or electronic wire transfers. Student is responsible for any bank transaction fees.

Students are normally expected to register and provide full payment, 2 months before the start of program.  Late registration fee is $250.

Cancellation Policy

If FTG cancels a program for any reason, FTG will notify each student by e-mail or phone, of the cancellation and make rescheduling arrangements. If a class is not rescheduled, FTG will provide a full refund within 14 days.

FTG will not be responsible for any additional expenses such as refund for airline tickets, Visa fees, or any other cancellation fees.

Refund Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing by sending an email to: admissions@fortunetimesgroup.com.

Cancellation Fees apply, as follows.

Cancellations received 31 days prior to the first day of program will incur a fee of 50% of the registration cost, plus a $250 processing fee. No refund will be issued for cancellations received less than 30 days before the first day of the program.

FTG shall be excused from any delays or failures in performance, caused by reason of any occurrence or contingency beyond its reasonable control, including, but not limited to, acts of God, acts of war, fire, insurrection, laws proclamations, edits, ordinances or regulations, strikes, lock-outs or other serious labor disputes, riots, earthquakes, floods, explosions or other acts of nature.

Students are entitled to a full refund if the student has received a refusal letter from the American Embassy. In cases where a student Visa application has been declined, all the tuition fees, except the non-refundable payment service fee (to cover any bank or credit card transaction fees), will be refunded to the student, upon receipt of photostatic copies of the rejection letter, along with an application for refund completed by the student, to FTG.

Rescheduling Policy

FTG cannot guarantee future placement for any student request for rescheduling. Rescheduling fees may apply.

Please do not interpret statements made in casual conversation or in correspondence with anyone else to mean that you have been fully admitted. The FTG Admission Office is the only office authorized to notify international students of their acceptance to FortuneTimes Group.
