The Academy of FortuneTimes Group, Inc., announces its Intensive English Program, designed for college-bound students and undergraduates, alike. Our rigorous program combines SAT preparation, Levels 1-2 and Levels 3-4 intensive language training, in New York. Earn a certificate upon successful completion of college preparation coursework. The program will be delivered efficiently online, and in- person.

Following the successful completion of the New York Program, students will have gained confidence in their abilities to proudly use the English Language in SAT test-taking for college admissions, and in a variety of social situations. What better way to demonstrate gains in fluency and conversation!

General Information

HOW THIS PROGRAM WORKS:

STEP 1: DAILY INTENSIVE PROGRESS

Each day, for 15 days, you build your English Skills, one-on-one and in small groups!

The Programs consists of 16 hours of intensive study per week with American Students, at FortuneTimes Group, Monday through Thursday mornings, 9 A.M. – 2 P.M. Eastern Standard Time.

STEP 2: DAILY CULTURAL IMMERSION

The courses will be complemented and your English skills reinforced through cultural immersion activities!

These include: business site visits, social networking with New York students and professionals, interviews with executives and cultural tours to gain the confidence you need!

STEP 3: DAILY FEEDBACK and REINFORCEMENT

We provide individual feedback and reinforcement each day, so your gains become permanent.

Professional Social Networking Events with College Admission Staff, Alumni and Professors will be hosted by FortuneTimes Group. Schedule will be announced before the start week.

Admissions Process

FTG Admission Committee will review completed applications thoroughly, and will consider all essential requirements.

For International Applicants who require visa application: students are encouraged to obtain any visa acceptance at least 90 days before the program start date. FTG will assist in applicant’s visa application with a formal letter of invitation to the NYC training program.

International Applicants are required to provide a photocopy of passport.  

For International Applicants: if you do not make the full program payment or do not show up at the program without any notification and explanation, FTG Admission Office will notify the USA Immigration Services and USA Department of Homeland Security.

Admission Requirements

This program intended for international high school students, 18 years of age and older, seeking to prepare and to improve their SAT scores. Students at all levels of proficiency are welcome to attend.

Application Deadlines

It is recommended that you submit your application at least 60 days before the program date starts which you wish to enroll (to ensure sufficient time for visa application and placement confirmation). We will consider completed applications received after the specified deadline as time permits and, if necessary, roll your application over to next entry period.

Notification of Admission Status

Your application to FortuneTimes Group is reviewed after receipt of your completed application and supporting documentation. If any portion of your application needs further action by you, we will notify you via e-mail. As soon as the application is complete, an admission decision will be made, and you will be notified by the Admission Office. Please do not interpret statements made in casual conversation or correspondence with anyone else to mean that you have been fully admitted. The FTG Admission Office is the only office authorized to notify international students of their acceptance to FortuneTimes Group.

Module – English for Success in College

This module will enable you to use English language skills successfully in College, anywhere in the world. With these higher-level skills you will be able to read English textbooks at the College-level, take English class notes when attending lectures and course presentations, successfully write College-level research and persuasive essays in order to finish term papers in science, literature and other core courses, obtain certification in professional areas of study (laboratory, medical and business certificates, for example), and score higher on the International English Language tests, such as the IELTS.

In College, you can use these higher-level English-language skills to:

  • Keep up with readings in scholarly textbooks, and notes, in Computer Science, Laboratory Science, Engineering,  Literature, History and the Social Sciences.
  • Achieve high grades in short-answer and essay examinations, on detailed laboratory reports, lengthy term papers, homework problem-sets and class recitations.
Module – English for Success in SAT

Improve your performance on the SAT examination. Our preparatory approach includes test-taking strategies and incorporates the latest test specifications.
Practice includes timed drills, historical source documents and passages with equivalent levels of difficulty, to simulate exam conditions. Gain confidence with each practice test, as you see your performance improve.
College School applicants will be able to:

Payment Options

Payment Policy 

Student’s enrollment and space in the program is confirmed only after payment has been received. Payment is due upon receipt of the invoice from FTG. Payment can be made by credit card, Alipay, or electronic wire transfers. Student is responsible for any bank transaction fees.

Students are normally expected to register and provide full payment, 2 months before the start of program.  Late registration fee is $250.

Cancellation Policy 

If FTG cancels a program for any reason, FTG will notify each student by e-mail or phone, of the cancellation and make rescheduling arrangements. If a class is not rescheduled, FTG will provide a full refund within 14 days.

FTG will not be responsible for any additional expenses such as refund for airline tickets, Visa fees, or any other cancellation fees.

Refund Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing by sending an email to: admissions@fortunetimesgroup.com.

Cancellation Fees apply, as follows.

Cancellations received 31 days prior to the first day of program will incur a fee of 50% of the registration cost, plus a $250 processing fee. No refund will be issued for cancellations received less than 30 days before the first day of the program.

FTG shall be excused from any delays or failures in performance, caused by reason of any occurrence or contingency beyond its reasonable control, including, but not limited to, acts of God, acts of war, fire, insurrection, laws proclamations, edits, ordinances or regulations, strikes, lock-outs or other serious labor disputes, riots, earthquakes, floods, explosions or other acts of nature.

Students are entitled to a full refund if the student has received a refusal letter from the American Embassy. In cases where a student Visa application has been declined, all the tuition fees, except the non-refundable payment service fee (to cover any bank or credit card transaction fees), will be refunded to the student, upon receipt of photostatic copies of the rejection letter, along with an application for refund completed by the student, to FTG.

Rescheduling Policy 

FTG cannot guarantee future placement for any student request for rescheduling. Rescheduling fees may apply.
